How to Care for Your Jewelry

Your fine jewelry is not only an investment, but sentimental, and often worn daily. While regular wear and tear is to be expected, with proper attention and maintenance, you can confidently care for your jewelry, ensuring the beauty of your future heirloom.

  • 1.

Remove jewellery when you shower or bathe and particularly when on the beach, in the sea and in chlorinated water.

  • 2.

Avoid spraying perfume or applying creams directly onto your jewellery.

  • 3.

If your jewellery becomes tarnished the best way to clean it is with a jewellery polishing cloth or a soft lint free cloth.

  • 4.

Keep delicate chains untangled by hanging them or laying flat when storing.

  • 5.

Use a soft-bristled toothbrush and mild soap in order to restore the sparkle of your stones. Gently pat dry.

  • 6.

Avoid wearing while cleaning, gardening or performing sports activities.

Storing your diamond jewelry

Due to their natural hardness, diamonds can damage other gemstones, metals, and even other diamonds. To keep the best diamond quality care, if you need to take your diamond jewelry off, it's always best to store it separately from your other jewelry.

Where possible, always store your diamond jewelry correctly in its box. Alternatively, keeping your diamond jewelry in individual soft cloth pouches will also protect them from any harm.

It’s important to protect your jewelry box so that it can continue to keep your diamond safe. We recommend you store your jewelry box in a dry, cool and secure location.

Keeping your diamond jewelry safe

From the moment you receive it, your diamond holds a lifetime of memories to be made and dreams to be had.

Whilst nothing can replace the sentimental value of your diamond jewellery, you can protect its monetary value by insuring it against loss, theft, or damage.

Many insurers offer specific insurance policies for jewellery, which offer many benefits over other types of coverage.
